Privacy policy
Version of 5 October 2026.
Who is responsible
[operator: name or company, contact address]
What stays on your phone
- Your location and route. The app uses location to know what you are passing and does not send coordinates to the server.
- Recorded drives (for replay and precision checks) stay on the phone and are deleted after 30 days unless you keep them.
- Your voice, topics and listening history.
What our server receives
- The Wikipedia article number of the place a story is needed for. It shows which place you are near, not your route or exact position.
- A random install id, not linked to your name, phone, Apple ID or advertising identifiers, used for load limits and statistics.
- Listening statistics (which story, seconds heard, skipped or not) and your feedback: "Interesting", "Not for me", "Factual error" with your note, stress corrections.
What we do not do
- No accounts, no ads, no tracking across other apps.
- We do not sell or share data with third parties for their own purposes.
Who processes story texts
Stories are written and voiced by cloud services (currently Anthropic Claude and ElevenLabs). Only article and story texts are sent to them, never your data.
Retention
Statistics and feedback up to 12 months, then only in aggregate. Stories and stress corrections are kept while the service runs.
Your rights
Deleting the app removes all data on the phone. To delete statistics linked to your install id, contact us: [operator: name or company, contact address].
