Stories about the places outside your window — while you drive
Roadside knows where you are driving and tells you about the castle, river or village right when it comes into view. Your music gets quieter while a story plays. For iPhone and CarPlay.
Turn it on and drive
Your iPhone’s location and the direction you drive tell the guide which places are coming up. It says “On the right, in two hundred metres” and starts the story while the place is still in view.
Every story is built from Wikipedia and checked against its source. A link to the article is right there in the app.
Your music or podcast gets quieter during a story and comes back afterwards. Not interested? One tap skips it.
On your car’s screen — the same as on your phone
A big “What’s here?” button, the places ahead on the road and a player with pause. Made for CarPlay.

How does it know what is outside my window?
It uses your iPhone’s location and the direction you are driving to find places ahead, and starts each story while the place is still in view.
Does it work with CarPlay?
Yes. On the car screen you see the places ahead on the road, a big “What’s here?” button and a player with pause.
Which countries does it cover?
Stories are prepared in advance for Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Czechia, Greece and Belarus. Elsewhere in Europe the guide tells about places as you drive.
Will it stop my music?
